Great Furry Events at RBW 2008
For RBW 2008, we have listened to everyone's feedback and we are proud to announce that this years event will be located in a great purpose built convention facility. RBW 2007 was at a
great venue but it wasn't able to hold all the events and panels we had wanted,
this year we won't have the same trouble. We have tripled our staff and
have dedicated areas for our events. Over the course
of the 4 days we will be running a whopping 47+ events. These events
range from small talks on specialist subjects, to the boat party, and the fursuit games. A full time table will be available later in the year, so stay tuned. Below are a few key events as well as the different
'tracks' we will be operating. More information regarding dealers, the masquerade, and other specialist events will follow later in the year.
The RBW 2008 Boat Party
Yet again we are proud to bring you one of the most iconic events on
the furry calendar. We have found one of the largest boats available to
us on the Thames and are will be sailing the river Thames from 8pm till
Midnight on the Saturday. You can find out more details over at the
'Venue' Section of the site.
Fursuit Common Wealth Games
Back for a second year we are proud to present the crazy antics of the
furriest event on the sporting calendar. We will be adding some new
games, keeping some of the old ones, and letting the fur fly as grudges
are settled (Cake, Durandal, and LycraWolf play nice now!).
The Story of my Pack by Timothy Albee
We are proud that Timothy Albee will be with us again for RBW 2008. In
this exclusive event, Timothy will talk about the close bond he has
formed with his pack of Huskies and how they saved his life numerous
times. For many years Timothy lived in an isolated area of Antarctica
where his only means of transport were his dogs. But when wolves
surround you, you fall off your sled 90 miles from help, or get
submerged in ice-cold water how would you survive? This is an event NOT to be missed!
The RBW Charity Auction
At RBW 2007 we raised over £1200 for charity. We had great items for
sale including 2 world-class fursuit's, original prints, and bottles of
Wine. This year we look to beat our own record and offer some even more
exclusive and 'one of a kind' items!
Fursuit Construction with Latin Vixen
Yet again we have a world famous fursuit builder as an honoured guest.
Latin Vixen will be offering advice of the creation of furry costumes!
She will also be available for some one-on-one help and guests will be
welcome to talk with her throughout the weekend.
Art Gallery and Auction
For the first time artists will be able to display their artwork for
everyone to see in public. There will be both General and Adult-Only
Audience areas for people to enjoy. On the Sunday Artists will then
have the opportunity to auction off their artwork. |
The Tracks
RBW 2008 will feature a variety of exciting and interesting tracks to caters for a wide variety of interests. So whether you interests lie with fursuiting, or if you want to find your inner spiritual self, RBW 2008 promises to have something for you! Our full time table is still being drafted at the point, but we can confirm these great tracks as part of the world class events offered at the years RBW.
