Frequently (and sometimes infrequently) Asked QuestionsMany People ask lots of questions. Those questions require a lot of brain meat! To save on the amount of brain meat expended on the questions, we have compiled a few answers to key question that have cropped up at various times. Of course if after reading the F.A.Q. you still need the meaning of life, the winning lottery numbers, or any other random question just go to the 'contact us' section of the website. Will there be wristbands again? The short answer is no. We have decided to go with con-badges this year. Whilst the wristbands were a great idea, they were not as hardwearing or as practical as we hoped. RBW 2008 has full colour, customizable con badges. But for those of you who liked the wristbands we are here to satisfy you as well! All people who sign up within the first 3 months will get a free, limited edition commemorative silicon wristband. They are hard wearing and they are going to become a collectable over the coming years. Will there be an art gallery?Yes! We will be setting up a dedicated gallery for artists to show off there work. You can find more details under the events section of the website. Is there going to be a dedicated fursuit lounge?RBW 2007 had a small and under stocked fursuit lounge. Thankfully for you we listened to the feedback and we can guarantee you a fully stocked, larger fursuit lounge. This years fursuit lounge will include cold water, many large fans, Air Conditioning, towels, and is big enough to hold 120 people. How long do I have to pay for my ticket?RBW 2008 is a much larger event and because of this fact there is considerable investment and resources to fund. So to achieve this it is important that we secure payments for tickets in a fair amount of time. When you initially register you must pay a £15 deposit within 14 days. Once you have paid the deposit you can then pay in two ways. Firstly you can simply transfer the remaining amount in one lump sum. If you cannot afford the one-off large payment then we allow you to pay in installments. For both instances we require full payment within 45 days of paying your deposit. How big is the boat for the Saturday evening? The RBW 2007 boat was able to hold 242 people. This year we have found one of the largest boats on the Thames for you. It holds a massive 350 people and is set across 3 floors. As with last year it is important that you secure your ticket ASAP. We are limiting our selves to a maximum of 310 on the boat. So get your ticket paid in advance. Boat tickets will be issued as a first paid, first on basis.I don't like <insert event name here>, will there be other stuff to do?One of the most exciting aspects of RBW 2008 is the great timetable we have created for you all. At some points during the weekend we are running 4 simultaneous events! The only problem you have is choosing which one to attend! For those who don't want a boat ticket or are unable to secure a place on the boat we will be running a party at the hotel. Will I be able to fursuit on the boat and will there be changing facilities? We looked long and hard for a boat that offered changing facilities or a small room that could be used as one. Unfortunately space is at a premium on a boat and so out of the tens of boats we inspected there was nothing suitable. Because of this issue we cannot provide private changing areas, although as with previous years it is possible to change in the toilet or in public if your fursuit does not require you to get naked! Another issue that arose from RBW 2007 was that most of the downstairs deck was taken up with small bags, luggage, and other items. To make sure there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves, we will be limiting people bringing bags and other items onto the boat. You will be permitted to bring ONE of the following items onboard with you:- A small hand-bag or a small side satchel. The only exception is for fursuiters, we will allow a maximum of 25 fursuit bags on the boat. Fursuiters will be able to 'check in' there suit on the day if they choose to take it on the boat. More details will be made available at the event.Do you guys make a ton of money out of RBW?RBW is run by A.R.F. and is set up as a Non-Profit organization. Any funds that are left after the event go into securing future events and helping out other projects around the UK.Can I help out with RBW this year? For RBW 2008 we want as many of you to lend a helping paw as possible!
